EtherShield is backed by not only InternetSafety.com’s category database, but also the Secure Computing/N2H2 category database. EtherShield’s database has been tested at more than 98-percent effective in independent testing studies — consistently ranking higher than other filters. With 35 categories of content filtering, you can customize what content is blocked on your network, knowing it will indeed be blocked.

EtherShield is customizable to your needs. In addition to the 35 categories of content filtering that are included, you also receive the ability to create your own list of sites to allow or block. You can even create a list of keywords that cannot be used in search engines, further limiting access to inappropriate content.

EtherShield not only is your trusted web filter partner, it can also be used to block Instant Messengers, peer-to-peer file-sharing, chat rooms, and newsgroups. These applications consume network resources and employees’ attention, and they are often sources of objectionable content. EtherShield network monitoring blocks these applications based on “network signatures,” making it extremely difficult to bypass.
